California’s State Supreme Court heard arguments Thursday in a case challenging a state ban on same sex marriage. The Prop 8 measure passed with a 52 percent majority – but opponents say it’s an unconstitutional threat to equal protection and basic civil rights. Christopher Martinez reports.

I dont see what the big deal

I dont see what the big deal is about prop 8 and letting gay people get married enough straight people can't keep their marriages from going to divorce so why not let them have a chance of a marriage. I'm sure there is a civil procedure that will let them get married in some state.
