Groups in Chile and Argentina oppose Barrick Gold mining project

Gold mining operations in South America are under fire from hundreds of NGOs and community groups. In July, the Canadian firm Barrick Gold secured an agreement with the governments of Chile and Argentina to look for gold in a large water reserve.
