March in St. Petersburg showcases defense of LGBT rights

Demonstrations also took place in cities across Russia, with the support of trade unions and government leaders. But many were paying close attention to a rally in St. Petersburg where a diverse coalition of groups marched to express their political demands and in solidarity with LGBT activists.
