Dr. Martin Luther King’s fight to combat racial inequality and discrimination continues to this day. In the courts and in the streets, many work to carry out his legacy of justice for all and non-violent social change. Examples of this can be seen in New York City, where groups and individuals are pushing back against the police department’s racial profiling, from the case of The Central Park five to the controversial policy of stop and frisk.
