This week on FSRN we've been taking a look at education: through President Obama's conference on community colleges and reaction to a controversial new film on school reform. Now we turn to the role of high school counselors and we hear from the students themselves. In Washington, DC, the number of guidance counselors in public high schools is decreasing, and some experts are concerned this will affect the already low numbers of students who go on to college. Radio Rootz reporters set out to investigate the high school counselor crisis in DC – and brought their questions to Chancellor Michelle Rhee. Reporter Ingrid Ceron has more.
