Amy Miller is currently based in Belgrade, Serbia working on numerous independent media projects, including reporting in the Balkans for Free Speech Radio News. She has been involved in many social political campaigns in Canada, as well has worked as an organizer in the labour movement. Her current focus on radio and video comes from a desire to further explore popular education and the use of multimedia.

My name is Aris Oikonomou. I am half-Greek, half-Venezuelan and was born in Poland. I am 28 years old and have studied economics and sociology in the UK and Belgium. I have been reporting for three years for various independent internet sites and newspapers. However, for FSRN I have only started this year; 2007. My main area of interest is workers’, farmers’ and students’ struggles.

Ben Seeder contributes to FSRN from Moscow and the rest of the former Soviet Union. He writes regularly for Australian newspapers, The Sydney Morning Herald, and The Age, as well as a number of British magazines. He previously worked as UK correspondent for US trade newspaper, Pensions & Investments, and as a cadet reporter on the Australian Financial Review.

Jan van der Made worked as a correspondent for Dutch and International media in Beijing from 1989 to 1999. He then worked as a China researcher for Human Rights Watch in Hong Kong 1999-2001. He has since worked as a staff member for Radio France Internationale in Paris.

Naomi Fowler

Naomi Fowler is currently based in London, Spain and Sicily. A fluent Spanish speaker, she was previously based in Central America working in short wave radio and frequently returns to Latin America. She produces for radio stations including Germany's Deutsche Welle, Radio Netherlands, ABC's Radio National in Australia, Radio New Zealand, the Canadian Broadcasting Company, Pacifica Radio and other US networks.

Cinnamon Nippard

Cinnamon Nippard is an Australian freelance radio journalist, currently based in Berlin. Aside from FSRN, she produces radio features for Deutsche Welle Radio's English Language Service (Germany), ABC Triple J's current affairs program Hack (Australia); and ABC Radio National's Arts program Artworks. Cinnamon gained her first radio experience at 2SER-FM community radio in Sydney. She previously produced The Wire, an Australian national, weekday community radio current affairs program, and has also freelanced for Radio Netherlands. Cinnamon covers a range of issues from human rights to urban space, and is particularly interested in the collision between art, music and politics.
