Peruvian reporter, Alfredo Cuadros started developing alternative media during the dictatorship of Alberto Fujimori. Currently. He collaborate in a number of different radio projects and political magazines. He is a professional graphic artist and an enthusiastic apprentice of video documentaries. He belongs to the IMC Collective since its begining in Peru. He reports for different radios from Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the US and Latin America.

Marie Trigona has reported from Argentina for numerous media outlets around the world. A writer, radio producer, and film maker, her work focuses on labor struggles, social movements and human rights in Latin America. Her writing has appeared in publications including Z Magazine and ZNet, NACLA, Monthly Review, Canadian Dimension, The Buenos Aires Herald, Left Turn, Americas Program, Clamor, Venezuela Analysis, Upsidedown World, Dollars and Sense and many others. She collaborates with the video collective, Grupo Alavío. She reports for Free Speech Radio News, a daily syndicated radio news program broadcast in the U.S.

Asli Pelit

Writer/journalist Asli Pelit (Istanbul, 1977) moved to Cuba in 2002 after completing her BA in journalism at New York University. She completed her Master's degree in Latin American Socio-Economic Development at La Universidad de la Habana and moved to Uruguay, where she worked as an editor at Real World Radio. She is the author of the books Siempre Havana (MB publications, 2006) and Buenos Aires: The Big Apple of the South (MB) which is due for release in November of 2007. Asli works as Latin America correspondent for NTV of Turkey, a privately-owned national news channel which is a reliable news source in her homeland. She has been contributing to Free Speech Radio News since 2006.

Nan McCurdy

Nan McCurdy has lived in Central America for the last twenty-three years. Working in development for the United Methodist church, she lived for three years in the war zone of Nicaragua in the 1980s. She founded a sister city relationship between people in San Juan de Limay, Nicaragua and Baltimore, MD that continues to be a bridge of understanding between cultures to this day. Ms. McCurdy has filed features and headlines for FSRN from Central America and from Washington DC. She has also written for the Other Side, New World Outlook, Response and Christian Social Action. Most of her work today for the United Methodist Church is in prevention of gender violence with women and children. Ms. McCurdy is married to a Nicaraguan and has two children.

Tom Allan

Over the last three years, Tom Allan has reported for FSRN from Washington DC, Scotland, and South America. He divides his time between journalism on social and political issues, and community radio projects, providing training in radio production for disadvantaged groups. He also works with professional broadcasters, including the BBC, as well as a range of magazines.
