Post-Katrina New Orleans has a murder rate higher than any other city in the US, and the majority of homicides are caused by gunfire. That's according to 2007 numbers, and it seems the city is on its way to maintaining its "murder capital" title this year as well. Community organizers, faith groups and musicians are now stepping up to the plate to try to take some of the guns out of circulation while providing creative after-school programs for the city's youth. Shannon Young has the story.
