Muslim US Voters Ignored

According to Arab American News, the American Muslim constituency is 7 million strong. IN 2000, many Muslims voted for George Bush. But since 9/11 and the war in Iraq, it's expected that the Muslim community will vote Democrat. Election Unspun Producer Karen Miller looks at some of the issues that are important to US Muslim voters and why they are tending to support Barak Obama.

As Barack Obama is visiting several predominantly Muslim countries this week, American Muslims say he is distancing himself from their community.  They point to a Michigan campaign rally where two Muslim women in headscarf's were told to move out of camera shot. Obama also adamantly denies being a Muslim, calling the rumors a smear campaign.  Producer Karen Miller spoke with Safiya Ghori with Muslim Public Affairs Council. Ghori says these actions cause some to question the politics the campaign.
