DEBATE OVER SALMON HABITAT PRESERVATION
Leigh Robartes reports from Moscow, Idaho on a bill introduced by California Senator Barbara Boxer which would make six hundred million dollars available for the restoration of salmon habitat in the Northwest. A similar bill passed the House by a huge margin last week. Wildlife advocates and scientists support the measure, but caution that the only real way to restore habitats will be to remove dams from rivers where the salmon run. (5:30)
