As many as two thousand feared dead after Boko Haram attack on Nigerian town
Amnesty International says hundreds – possibly as many as two thousand – civilians were killed when Boko Haram laid siege to, and eventually overran, the town of Baga in northeastern Nigera. Baga, which hosted an international military base, is located in a strategic border area next to a lake shared with Chad, Niger and Cameroon. For more on what may be the deadliest assault yet by Boko Haram, FSRN’s Shannon Young spoke with longtime correspondent Sam Olukoya in Lagos, Nigeria.
